Governor Ayodele Fayose of Ekiti state was close to tears on Tuesday, April 26, when the bodies of the six medical doctors who died in an accident arrived the state. The doctor had met their death after their vehicle crashed along Kaduna road on their way to Sokoto to attend the Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Nigeria Medical Association (NMA) on Sunday.
The six doctors whose names were presented as: Alex Akinyele, Tunde Aladesanmi and Adeniyi James of the Federal Teaching Hospital, Ido- Ekiti (FETHI); Ojo Taiwo and Dr. Olajide of the Ekiti State University Teaching Hospital (EKSUTH); Nigeria Medical Association (NMA) Secretary; Dr John Ogunseye of the Health Management Board, Ekiti State; and a driver, Mr. Moses Ajibola of FETHI were ferried into Ado-Ekiti, the state capital at about 7.00pm, New Telegraph reports.
