Benin station workers allegedly sacked for demanding salaries

The management disengaged the workers for allegedly demanding the payment of 16 months salary owed them.
Workers in the Benin station of the African Independent Television (AIT) have allegedly been sacked.
PM News reports that the management disengaged the workers for allegedly demanding the payment of 16 months salary owed them.
The Nation also reports that the Senior Manager in charge of Human Resources, Mr Victor Okasoga in a letter, told the workers that their sack takes effect from June 13, 2016.
Okasoga also told the affected staff to hand over all company properties in their possession, including their identity cards.
The letter also added that “Failure to surrender company properties in your possession may delay the processing of your entitlements.”
