Now, For our Nollywood star actress, Genevieve Nnaji, the reality of time is beginning to tell on her, as she is not finding her single status funny any longer. In her words she says...“I am tired of spinsterhood o, all my friends are now married o” she voiced dis out, when one of her childhood friends sent her a picture of her wedding via blackberry......but really why do you think we have more single people around these days do you think its because girls have set very high standard or just because we have more guys that are not ready to commit whats Ur take...

"The problem of not getting married on time will be attributed to a couple of factors that I will mention in relation to Genevieve Nnaji.
Firstly, she attended Methodist Girls High School, Sabo-Yaba, Lagos, Nigeria. During her study there, she obviously mixed with the wrong crowd and got pregnant. Now, most Nigerian men aren't born and bred to take care of children from other men. Not that its our fault, No! But it kind of like reminds us of the type of person you are as a woman most especially, if we got to know the truth about you from another source, even if it may have been too late.
Secondly, women who have acquired or en-massed wealth more substantial than those of men are usually seen as a form of threat most especially if she lacks manners. This is usually interpreted as an intimidation of sorts and most men can't handle that. The reason is this: We live in a materialistic environment governed by greed and lust and as such, the average Nigerian woman isn't trained to respect men who don't have money or enough of it. This is the usual breeding ground for disrespect in families and our parents are the ones to blame. They have trained our girls to pay more credence to those who have more money as this is the only sure way to financial freedom.
Thirdly, her life experiences of the average Nigerian man, coupled with those who she saw take advantage of her female friends may have contributed to her being single this long. Its the usual story.
Fourthly, her role in most Nigerian movies, whether good or bad, would have played an inhibitory role in her not being married till date. Take a look at it this way. How many sexually arousing role has she played in Nigerian movies from inception till date? If you say many, then the truth is she has attracted more lewd men than honest, into her life.
I have a question for her. What would she have done if a promising young man without money had come to ask for her hand in a relationship? Would she have consented or treated him otherwise? Anyways, she's old now. Should be seeing her in church more often...heheheh
