Abukakar confirmed 16th IGP

After five months and 21 days in office as Acting Inspector-General of Police, the Police Council comprising the 36 state governors, Chairman of Police Service Commission and chaired by President Goodluck Jonathan, has confirmed Mr. Mohammed Dikko Abubakar as the 16th indigenous Inspector-General of Police.

The Inspector-General, who did not mention Boko Haram, said “I will put everything humanly possible and I will put in my best to ensure the safety and management of security in the country.”
