Bureau De Change operators in the
country have attributed the fall in the dollar to release of the foreign
currency by hoarders who had stored it pending the outcome of the nation’s
general elections.
A dollar over the weekend sold for
N185 against the usual N220-N240 which it sold for in the last few weeks. Some
of them however said the Dollar crash could also be attributed to the fact that
politicians have stopped campaigning for elections, which has made the demand
for the currency drop.
