.Property worth millions of Naira, including vital documents, cash and personal belongings were on Sunday night destroyed in a strange fire in the Press Centre building of Government House, Asaba.
The inferno, which was said to have started at about 10pm, was brought under control by the Delta State Fire Service who prevented it from razing the entire building. Investigations are understood to have commenced to ascertain the cause of the fire incident and the extent of the damage. Government House sources believe the inferno may have been caused by electrical faults in the building.
