In a reaction to an interview allegedly credited to Tonto Dike, about Igbo guys, a twitter fan tweeted at her,
"you must be stup*d to say Igbo men are 'poko' nosy, 'na' who born you? 'Nobi' Igbo man born you? 'Abi' your mama go get 'belle' from another tribe?"
In a quick response to this tweet, Tonto tweeted back, "Useless is your father. Your mother I'll spare because the bit*h is a bit*h like me. No, you a bastard".
The question is, should celebrities react to tweets directed at them? Is this the best way to be a role model?

I can’t marry an Igbo man, they poke nose a lot
The actress recently granted punch an interview where she said, waiting for an Igbo man will make her end up single for life. Lol, this is not even funny. Some Igbo’s won’t take it lightly with tonto. But then, it’s her life. Read the question and her response below;
Punch: We heard you will be getting married soon to your new boyfriend who happens to come from Benin, Edo state. Why are so many Nollywood females getting snapped up by Benin or men from Edo state?
Tonto Dike: First of all, it is nobody’s business where my fiancé comes from. That out of the way, yes Benin men are great and very understanding. They are not siting and judging you unlike an Igbo man that will want to be poke-nosing in everything you do. You make your money and the Edo man is not interested in your personal affairs. If I keep waiting for an Igbo man I will just end up eternally singleLOL, this girl, i like her sha..

No igbo man wants an ashawo that has slept with basically every one, plus smokes heavily and has a devilish tatoo on her body. Edo men dont care about her ashawoness, after all that is what some edo girls do best.

There are several theories over the origin, and the most strong one is the theory linking the Ikwerre to an Igbo origin. They would be descendents from an Igbo migration from Awka and Orlu areas towards South. Igbo scholars take Ikwerre as part of the Southern Igbo. Amadi, an Ikwerre scholar, says that the Igbo origin theory has some support even inside Ikwerre themselves, with Ikwerre would be descendants of a migration of Arochukwu Igbo, with Ogpo Wagidi being the leader of the Ikwerre tribe. During the colonial period the Ikwerre named themselves as Igbo, although this could have been done just for convenience in the political climate of that time.
She can live her life the way she wants, she does not owe you or anyone.

ReplyDeleteIgbo men have pride and protect their woman with all they have because they see you as part of them. True edo men dont poke nose, but i rather my husband be concerned abt my well being than ignoring me. Again to each his own, i hope she is satisfied.
