Update: Plane belonging to Associated Airlines carrying Agagu's dead body crashes at Lagos Airport + Read Press release from minister of Aviation

"Reports reaching us indicate that a plane crash has occurred at the Lagos airport.
A witness said the crash occurred at the local wing of the airport close to the section were JET-A1, plane fuel, is stored.
Fire service officials were seen evacuating the occupants of the plane.
It is not yet clear if there was any casualty.
The spokesman of the Nigeria aviation agencies, Yakubu Datti, asked for more time to get details of the incident".

NEMA has confirmed that at least two people died in the crash. Several others feared injured.
According to latest reports, a 30-seat Associated Airline jet flying to Akure, Ondo was carrying passengers heading for the burial of former Ondo State governor, Olusegun Agagu, a spokesman for the Nigerian Airspace Management Agency told AFP.
The plane took off and immediately nose-dived into a building in the area.

“There’s a lot of smoke coming from the runway, but we can’t get access to it. There are fire-fighters rushing to the scene,” Rasaki Rhakod, who runs a car service around the airport, told Reuters by telephone.
The spokesman of the Nigeria aviation agencies, Yakubu Datti, asked for more time to get details of the incident.

UPDATE: Agagu's body was on board. His family members and friends were on board. It had 20 passengers and 7 crew members.  Read the press release by the minister of aviation

 The Press Realease
An Embraer aircraft operated by Associated Airlines with Reg No SCD 361 enroute Akure from the Murtala Mohammed Airport, Lagos, crashed shortly after take-off at about 9.30 am local time. The plane had 20 passengers and 7 crew members on board.
Emergency rescue operations commenced immediately by a combined team of Fire Service and security personnel . Some persons pulled out from the aircraft have been rushed to the hospital while a few dead bodies have been recovered, The rescue operations is still on-going.
