According to a statement by the Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu to President Muhammadu Buhari, the President yesterday made a special appeal to members of the National Association of Resident Doctors at a meeting he had with the leadership of the Nigerian Medical Association at the Presidential Villa, Abuja, asking them to shelve their planned strike and give the Federal Government more time to meet their grievances.
Buhari assured the leadership of NMA that no agreement duly entered into by the Federal Government would not be honoured by his administration, appealing to them to carry on with their work.
