Listening to your wife means giving her your undivided attention. You
are not listening if she is talking and at the same time and working on
your computer, reading newspaper, watching your favorite football club
play or listening to the news. You must listen to feel her emotions, to
hear what she's not saying and understand what her words may not be able
to properly frame.It is called, "Empathic Listening." It is highest
form of listening, where you put yourself in the position of the person
talking. You are listening to understand her more, not listening to
criticize, judge or correct.
